Once we found the perfect wine, the next step was to create the perfect label. We had all different visions of this but when it came right down to it, we unanimously agreed the label should promote what we are about…Family!

Many of the characters on our label consist of our family of friends over the years. It takes a group effort to achieve what we do each day. There is a combination of stress and fun in our line of work, but we decided something fun would suit us best. So, we started with the gourmet chef, who knows the right amounts of basil to test your palet...the pizza maker that bakes your pie…the friends behind the scene that toss your refreshing salad…your server who attends to your every need…and lastly, your host…who by the way, can pour you a taste of one of our Italian wines!

BARBERA!
Our first vintage, has exploded in popularity because of its deep ruby color, full body, black cherry, dark berry notes and approachable tannins ending with a long and spicy finish. A kept secret in the Piedmont region of Italy until recently, is now making quite a stir here in the states. Today, Stancato’s is proudly serving Barbera, Chianti, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Merlot.
Yearly trips to Italy have become a passion: talking about the season grapes, tasting the wines from years before and becoming familiar with the culture of the particular vineyard. Each wine is hand selected every year from family owned, Italian vineyards, so the quality of the vintage is always at its best. We search for smooth, flavorful and easy drinking wines that have only naturally occurring sulfites and flavors that will never go dull. After tasting and testing, and the whole selection process is complete, we bottle, ship and bring it to you. After all, life is all about family, food and fine wines!

About Us

Three generations of serving customers with great service, quality food and smooth drinking wines, all to make your experience complete. Stancato’s has been serving wines from Italy since our doors opened in 1971.

In May of 2003, we toured Italy to start looking for our own classic Italian wines. We were in search of easy, smooth drinking wines. In these boutique vineyards, we found exactly what we were looking for. There are no mixed grape varieties and low sulfite counts in these wines, yet they still keep excellent balance and flavor. The families at these wineries reminded us of our family at Stancato’s Restaurant, where passion and pride make all the difference!
